Research Collarboation with DIGICOM and PSUSD

We collaborate with DIGICOM, a non-profit education organization in Palm Springs, CA, to develop professional development curriculum for teachers in PSUSD to use digital storytelling in classrooms.

Investigating the Learning and Cost Effectiveness of a Blended English Language Program Implemented in a Developing Country

Using a large urban university located in Northwester Mexico as a case study, this study uses quantitative research methods to analyze data of 58,360 unique users taking blended, online and face-to-face English language courses spanning from 2006 through 2016.

Learning Processes and Outcomes in MOOCs

This project is investigating learning processes and outcomes in Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Data comes from MOOCs operated at UCI and broader MOOC data sets made available by Stanford and Harvard. Questions addresses include learning processes, learning outcomes, the role of gender, and the influence on student performance of incentives.
